Case study: Cheryle's bathroom, Todmorden
Cheryle’s bathroom in Todmorden is one we loved fitting. She is a midwife at Burnley General Hospital — the same hospital where Willow was born — and she was a lovely customer from the first conversation through to handover. She is a friend, as well as a client.
The room
The room is half tiled in sandstone. The feature wall is California Jade, in large 60 × 120 tiles, so that one wall carries the colour and the sandstone keeps the rest of the room quiet and warm. Sage furniture and brushed brass tapware sit against that palette. Three niches are built into the tiling, and a halo ceiling finishes the room with a lit edge.
The 10% Blue Light grant
Cheryle benefited from our 10% Blue Light grant. That reduction is what brought the halo ceiling and the three niches inside the budget she had set. The finishes she wanted stayed in the job.
Why this one stayed with us
Some bathrooms are a good job. This one was a pleasure. A midwife who spends her days at Burnley General, a home in Todmorden, and a room that now has the sandstone, the California Jade, the sage furniture, the brushed brass, the niches and the halo she had pictured. We were glad the grant made the last two possible.
Blue Light grant
Our 10% Blue Light grant is for customers in the emergency services and the NHS. Ask us when you book a survey and we will show what it does to the quote, including extras such as a halo ceiling and niches.
