Trading Blows and Laying Tiles: Good Luck Patsy!
This weekend, the entire ProActive Bathrooms team is cheering on our hardworking apprentice, Patrick 'Patsy' Emmis, as he heads down to Leicester for his 30th amateur boxing match!
A Shared Passion for the Sport
Patsy has been a keen and dedicated boxer from a very young age. In fact, boxing is exactly what brought him into the ProActive family.
Our founder, Steve, has a lifelong passion for the sport, and ProActive Bathrooms has always been a proud sponsor and supporter of local boxing clubs across Lancashire. It was through this community connection that Steve first met Patsy. Seeing his discipline, respect, and work ethic in the gym, Steve knew instantly that he was exactly the kind of young man we wanted representing our company.
Discipline Translates to Craftsmanship
The dedication required to train for 30 amateur bouts is the exact same dedication required to master a high-end trade. Patsy applies the same focus to his tools as he does to his training.
A Bright Future on the Tools
Currently, Patsy is attending college to officially qualify as a joiner—a crucial skill for us, given how much 18mm OSB structural framework goes into our accessible bathrooms!
However, since joining us on-site, he has also shown an incredible natural ability and a remarkably keen eye for high-end tiling. Whether he's framing out a new wet room or ensuring laser-perfect grout lines on a luxury splash panel, his attention to detail is superb.
We are incredibly proud of how far he has come, both in the ring and in his apprenticeship. He has a brilliant, multi-skilled future ahead of him with ProActive Bathrooms.
From Steve, Tim, and the rest of the team: Best of luck in Leicester, Patsy. Bring home the win!
