Case study: The Williams' bathrooms, Ramsbottom
The Williams' flat in Ramsbottom needed two bathrooms, not one. A retired couple, a proper home, and a brief that was simple: both rooms should feel finished, warm, and easy to live with. We built them in our new solid foam-core panels, and the result stopped us in our tracks.

Two rooms, one flat
One bathroom keeps the bath, with a brushed brass thermostatic shower, a square rain head and a handheld, set against a dark grey textured panel. Beside it, a white marble-effect board with heavy black veining runs the full height of the wall. The second room is the quieter one: large grey floor tiles, a lighter marble-effect wall, and a panelled ceiling with recessed lights and the extractor set flush into the boards.
The new panels
These are solid foam-core boards, not hollow PVC. They sit flatter, feel sturdier under the hand, and take a marble or stone print without looking like a thin sheet. On a ceiling they read as a clean plane — lights and the fan cut in, no chrome joint strips, no gloss. On the walls the print is the design: one room dramatic, one room calm, both from the same range.
The result
We were blown away. Two bathrooms in a Ramsbottom flat, for a lovely retired couple, finished to a standard we are proud to put our name on. Solid foam-core panels did the work that people still assume only tiles can do.
